Eminem – The Real Slim Shady

When this music video came out, America was in disgust.  They couldn’t believe someone could be so explicit and derogatory, especially someone who was a role model to kids.  Nevertheless, this song kicked Eminem into the spotlight and into the eyes of many protestors; for better or for worse, it’s one of the craziest songs by a rapper, a WHITE rapper.

A classic song that spawned many imitations – possibly MC Ricky D’s famous song on his debut album, Great Adventures of Slick Rick.

D-Why

Here’s D-Why’s first “official” music video albeit low-budget.  It’s called “You Know The Name.”

He’s a young cat from Morgantown, WV (otherwise known as WVU) trying to blow up in the game.  He’s got some dope tracks on his MySpace – one of them being “Umma Do D”  as my favorite.  Check it out.  Help him get his name out by spreading the word, talking about him on blogs, forums, chatboards, etc.

A true rags-to-riches story.  I used to play this song on repeat all day back in the day.
